Who we are › Innovation

Innovation is a discipline, not a slogan.

We bring new methods, data and technology into how you run, buy and measure marketing — adopting what creates measurable value, and ignoring the hype.
Our approach

Tested against one question

Marketing does not lack novelty. Every quarter brings a new tool, a new format, a new promise. What it lacks is a filter.

VA Consulting treats marketing innovation as a discipline. We hold every new method, dataset and technology to one question: does it make the marketing system measurably better — faster to run, clearer to govern, fairer to buy? If yes, we adopt it and build it into how we work. If no, we say so, whatever the market noise. Evidence decides, not fashion. Innovation is one of the commitments that define how we work — see them all.

The gate a new method has to pass

It has to be measurable

VA Consulting adopts a method only when its effect can be measured against a baseline agreed before the change.

It has to be governable

If it cannot be documented, reviewed and handed to someone else, it is not a method. It is a dependency.

It has to be commercially neutral

We take fees only from you. Nothing enters our method because a vendor paid to put it there.

It has to work in your hands

What we adopt has to be usable by your teams, not only by ours. A method only we can run is not transferable.

In practice

Built into how we work

Every recommendation rests on data, not memory.

Innovation at VA Consulting is not a lab on the side: it runs through the work itself. AURA is the workflow manager our consultants work in — one tool, holding a database of 5,000+ classified suppliers and the functions the work needs: supplier classification, the tender workflow, cost comparison, day rates on an FTE basis, budget management.

The database is built to one rule: one classified record per company, identity resolved on its VAT number, across the whole supply chain and not only creative agencies — full service, digital, PR and social, production and post, POSM and print, events, technology. A benchmark is only as good as the record behind it, and a company held twice makes every comparison that uses it wrong.

The same discipline shapes our methods: how we run a marketing spend analysis, how we benchmark production costs, how we build rosters, how we structure remuneration models, and how we report value — cost saving vs cost avoidance, both tied to a baseline agreed at the start. It also shapes what we require of others: since Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 made the disclosure and marking of AI-generated content an obligation on the brand, disclosure, marking, ownership and right of audit are drafted into the tender documentation and the partner contracts we take into negotiation.

What you gain

You do not pay for the learning curve

We prove new methods on our own work first. You get them once they hold, not while we are still testing.

A system that keeps improving

Innovation lands as upgrades to your operating model, not as a bet on a trend.

Data behind every recommendation

Classified supplier data and benchmarked costs stand behind what we propose.

An advisor with no stake

We govern execution but never sell it, and we have no commercial ties to the tools or platforms your partners sell you.
